Hey, welcome to our blog!
We are Veronika and Martin. Our family name – Srna – translated from Slovak means Roe deer (Capreolus Capreolus). That is why we decided to call our blog Capreoli Round the World.
We love discovering new destinations. It doesn’t matter if we travel to exotic countries, visit European cities, explore Bavaria, or spend an afternoon in Munich. We are always curious and looking for new experiences.
And that’s what our blog will be about. We will share our travel stories, useful planning tips, and our photographs.
Writing this blog is our passion and a way to remember our adventures. By sharing our stories, we hope to inspire your travels and give you useful planning tips. We are not using this blog for any commercial activities, there is no advertising displayed on the blog, and we do not use affiliate links. We are booking all our travels individually, directly with the local operator or via the usual booking engines. All of our trips are self-funded (although we received a room upgrade twice since 2017). Thus, our recommendations and tips are based purely on our experience and are highly subjective. Full disclose: We favor seeing the positive side of things more than the negative.
We are originally from Slovakia. Currently, we are living in Munich.
After ten years of living in the Capital of Bavaria, we got to know the city and its surroundings pretty well. We will tell you how to spend a fantastic time in and around the town away from the typical tourist paths.
When traveling, we always organize our trips alone. We plan the itinerary, book the accommodation, and arrange the travels. We look forward to sharing first-hand information about the destinations we already visited.
We both work full-time, so our trips have schedules that fit our jobs. We want to show you that you can enjoy your travels, even if you can’t afford several weeks off work.
The posts are mainly written by Veronika and the photos taken by Martin.
